Happy Chinese New Year 2009

Howdy folks…

First of all, I would like to wish my fellow friends, comrades, acquaintances and anyone who always support me a Happy Chinese New Year. May the year of Ox bring all the happiness, good fortune, health and phosperity.

In this post, I won’t be talking anything regarding my national service experiences… I’ll leave them for later posts…

Currently, I’m having 8 days of holiday from National service for Chinese New Year. (but yesterday’s newspaper stated that the Jabatan is giving 10 days of holiday…) Well, I’ll check it later… Was so happy that I’m actually sitting in my house right now and doing anything I usually does…

This year’s Chinese New Year for my family is a bit different from before… Because my grandma is not around anymore… So, for the first time, the celebration for chinese new year is rather simple… without any fireworks, no angpau, no decorations…

Still the reunion “lunch” is a must, and we’re having hot pot because it is easy to prepare and we just put anything we like to eat into it… lol..

photos will be upload later… or perhaps not because i din took much photos…

While we are celebrating, being grateful for all they good things we have and basking in the warmth of our loved ones, let us do one more thing.

Please pray for a lady, her 3 children, her husband and their parents. Remember to also pass the requests around to all your friends and through your blog.

    1. Well, I got a wedding invitation and I ask my parents to use it and write a letter to extend the holiday. Say it’s close relative and important event.

but in the end, they announce that they’ll give us 8 days of holidays. To my surprise, when I reach home, the next day, newspaper reported, the Jabatan is giving 10 days!!
