Logitech V120 Notebook Laser Mouse

Few days ago, I got my new lappy, an ACER ASPIRE 4937G-874G32Mn. I bought it from local pc shop, D’Fastec. I’ll blog about the lappy next time…

When you buy a laptop or notebook, a free accessory that you 100% will get is a mouse… So do I, they gave me an unknown mouse, which I think will end up as my last backup mouse… Thus, I asked them to change a mouse… There weren’t much choice for me… I take this mouse after taking a few considerations…

I lost the photos I took…

It is a laser mouse, not an optical mouse. The precision of the mouse is superb. I mean, of course it can’t beat those extreme gaming mouse, however for an ordinary mouse, it rocks…

I love Logitech products because of their innovative designs. With this mouse, you actually can wind the cords neatly into the base of the mouse, and then snaps the USB plug under the mouse. The USB head also acts to protect the laser lens under the mouse. Genius!

Conclusion

Extremely portable, with the cord management, small in size and weighs only 19grams.

A very nice lower-mid range mouse for notebooks.

If you think that RM50 is too expensive for a mouse, then you might consider to take other low-end notebook mouse… it depends…

  1. TCY: are you serious? I know it had being released for quite a while, but I have no idea about the actual release date… or you thought that I’m getting a MX1100… =.=

  2. RM50 is considered quite cheap already. Lowest price I could find in Lowyat.net is RM45 in bulk order (Excluding delivery).

    1. yeap… my friend also bought it for RM39…

too bad my local computer shop s*cks… limited choices with higher price tag…

  3. John or anyone who has this V120 mouse,
Does the mouse wheel feel rubbery and it peels off
a little like an eraser n does not fell very smooth n a
bit weird. Otherwise the mouse is very good.

I’m asking ‘cos the P/N on the mouse itself
is 810-000869 which is different from the one
on the packaging (same as on website) 910-000793
(for the black colour model). (worried if it’s a fake)

    1. Well, I don’t experience such problem with my V120 mouse. By the way, the P/N on my mouse is 810/000869 too…

Perhaps the cause is the surface?…

    2. well, it’s ok now with the wheel on my mouse.
maybe it’s just some sticky stuff on the wheel left
      on it during manufacture.

  4. im interested in buying this mouse but im worried by the cable might be too short.. it would be great if someone could tell me the length of the cable.. tq..

  5. Anyone else think the scrolling of this mouse is too noisy?

My V120 has this audible clicking and squeaking sound whenever the mouse turns.

  6. I bought a new Logitech mouse today.

It’s the B100, one of their business mice. It’s larger than the V120 but it’s just as light, and it’s silent both on scrolling and middle clicking. However unlike the V120 the cord is very long, it’s almost six feet.

It might be hard to find since they don’t advertise it much, it comes in a plain white box without manuals. It feels a lot better than their V120 though, I guess being a mouse for business they make sure it is quiet and comfortable for many people.
