XFX Radeon HD5770 XT (open box)

XFX HD5770 XT - 01

It’s XFX’s ATI RADEON HD5770 XT version. Well, I got this card a week ago, and just got time to post it now.

At first, I was planning to get Sapphire’s VaporX version but due to several minor problems.. I got this instead. Anyway, the XT version had been factory overclocked a teensy bit.

Ah, by the way, this post is just a open box review, there won’t be any in depth review because I’m not a professional hardware reviewer.

Taking away the top section reveals the graphics card, packaged in an anti-static bag.

The card itself.

Included, Installation guides, driver CD, DVI-VGA adapter, power adapter, Assassin’s Creed Game DVD (bundled game). Ah, almost forgot the “Do Not Disturb” door knob hanger.

Heatsink, yeah I’m kinda like this kind of design. Bad side is the cooler only cools the processor chip, not including the memory chips.

2 DVI ports, 1 HDMI port and 1 Display Port.

6pin PCI-express power connector is required.

This card can be crossfired to perform better, however, XFX do not include the crossfire connectors which is real bad. (Sapphire ships their cards with the connector.)

So far, I’m very satisfied with the card’s performance. All of my games runs smoothly on it.. Left4Dead2, Call of Duty MW2, Need For Speed Series… Great card, great price, and all thanks to this, I skipped several gunplas and figurines that I really like. T.T

Hmm, Project 955 has come to an end with the purchase of this graphics card, but there’ll be more upgrades in the future (hope so).

  1. SIMILAR TO MY RIG. LOL . HD 5770 IS A GREAT CARD BUT XFX QUALITY / SERVICE SUPPORT REALY SUCK’S. So here is my story. 2008 first purchased xfx nvdia 8200 motherboard. it last for 8 months. after that oh my cpu was amd athlon x2 6000+ 89watt & the mobo was 95watt TDP.I went to the XFX service center 1st of all they try to sell me an old xfx mobo. 2ndly they charge me rs.1500 for the mobo which was under warranty.when I ask them for that they told its a shipping charge. I didn’t give ny thing. then they told

    1. I can’t agree more with you regarding their bad service support.

My friend had a faulty card which sent for warranty after 1 month of usage. They only return the card after 3 months of lengthy RMA procedure.. Worse of all, the card had the same problem as before! We wasted 3months waiting a faulty card to come back.

Once again, we sent the card and they took another 3 months to complete the RMA… We just got annoyed and keep complaining at the supplier.. at last, they replaced the card with another older model card with the reason of “no stock”..
